Early 1920s. Symon Petliura negotiates with the Poles about their support. Kotovskyi’s cavalry forces Petliura to escape to Poland. Yurko Tiutiunnyk who takes Petliura’s place tries to organise counterrevolutionary activities and seize the power in Ukraine. But that does not happen, as the conspiracy is uncovered…

The script was approved by the Higher Repertoire Committee (protocol No 2157) on 06 July 1926. The shooting began on 16 July 1926 and finished on 15 December 1926. The film was released on 28 September 1926 in Kyiv and on 08 June 1928 in Moscow.

The film has survived without the fourth part.
