Ukraine. 1917. The period of the Central Council rule. Gradually, almost spontaneously, the first units of Red Cossacks and Red partisans emerge across the country. Together with the Soviet cavalry, they fight against the Polish invaders, haidamakas, Petliura’s and Shkuro’s detachments.

The film ends with demonstration of the combat readiness of the Red Army.

The film is lost.
