The film is based on Oles Dosvitnii’s novel There Were Three of Us.

The student Viktor Borovskyi becomes a member of an illegal revolutionary student organisation, which soon falls under the spotlight of the police.  Once imprisoned, Viktor cannot withstand the interrogation, denounces addresses of the organisation members and becomes an informer. He informs the police of plotting a murder of one of tsar generals. During the assassination attempt, the police arrests a girl terrorist, but the general dies shot by another revolutionary.

The film was released on 06 October 1928 in Kyiv.
